Training & Expertise. Qualified-plus.

Qavvik Air’s training and development plans ensure that our staff maintains the highest qualifications in the industry. Our medical staff is committed to rigorous training and certification that includes onboarding and refresher trainings, certification and renewals, and specialized critical care. Professional development and required certification are keystones of our crew’s proficiency.

All medical crew members are required to participate in a Flight Physiology Class during orientation training. This class imparts critical knowledge of how various aspects of flight can affect patients. Understanding these factors is crucial for providing safe and effective care in the air.

Required certifications for all medical crew:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), as endorsed by the American Heart Association

Required certifications for nursing crew:

  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)

Required within two years of hire:

  • Critical Care Transport Certifications for all medical staff
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) for nurses
  • Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN) for nurses
  • Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program/Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic (CCEMT/MICP) for paramedics

In addition to medical personnel, our pilots are also trained in safe loading conditions. This collaborative training ensures that both medical staff and pilots are aligned in their understanding and approach to patient safety, particularly during the critical phases of loading and unloading patients.

The Flight Followers for the Medevac Dispatch Center are trained in a host of areas, including FAA regulations, weather theory and analysis, navigation for aviation, medical terminology, and much more.
