On call for Alaska

The need for air ambulance services in Alaska can run the gamut. Whether it’s a medical incident, a work accident, or an outdoors-related injury, when the nearest urgent medical care facility is miles away, timing is of the essence.

Response Time

Qavvik Air is committed to swift response, having “wheels up” within 60 minutes of the initial call. This contact point is one of the most important steps in the process. A determination is made recognizing varying needs of patients, from stable to critically ill, and customizing our medical support accordingly.

Transit Services

During transit, our Call Center provides real-time flight tracking and updates, facilitating necessary ground transport arrangements for efficient patient transfers. A critical aspect of our medevac service is the constant availability of medical control. Our flight medical crew, comprising both RNs and paramedics, has access to physician medical control 24/7. This access is maintained throughout the flight, ensuring that our team has the highest level of medical oversight and guidance at all times.

Readiness

We are ready and able to meet the needs of patients and our clients, as well as any situations that arise during a mission. We have the experience and plans in place to respond to weather issues, multiple emergencies and missions, air and ground transportation, and making sure families get where they need to be both before and after an emergency.

Statewide Service Areas

We maintain a base of operations in Kotzebue and Fairbanks and are accessible to multiple locations statewide. Our deep understanding of Alaska’s aviation landscape allows us to provide service statewide and even to the Lower 48.
